Abstract/Notes It is commitment of Indonesia, as well as other countries, to eliminate gender disparities in all sectors of life including education. The strategy for this is Gender Mainstreaming (GM) that is well articulated in Inpres number 9/2000. This document has made it compulsory for any government institution to include gender equity dimension in every one of its policies, program, or activities in development. In education sector, we can find gender disparities related to access to, equity, quality, relevance, and management of education. Related to access to and equity in education. Gender disparitiescan be found in the Rate of school Participation (RSP), Rate of Pure Participation (RPP), Rate of Rough Participation (RRP), Rate of Rough Participation (RRP), and Rate of Literacy (RL).
